What Would Be Useful Right Now?

Maybe your first question is about a pregnancy. Maybe you need diapers, want to finish your GED, or do not know which local program handles a particular need. You don’t have to fit neatly into one category before contacting Acts of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center.

At our Blytheville center, you can speak confidentially with a mentor, learn about your pregnancy options, and ask which classes, supplies, or referrals are currently available. If Acts of Hope PRC does not provide something directly, our team may be able to connect you with a community organization that does.

Practical Items and Everyday Skills

Acts of Hope PRC distributes diapers, car seats, and other baby items when supplies are available. Contact the center to find out what is currently in stock and whether any requirements apply.

Parenting education and life-skills classes offer practical information that can be used at home and while caring for a child. Acts of Hope PRC also offers a fatherhood program and opportunities for dads and co-parents to become more involved. Class topics and schedules may change, so ask what is currently available.

Local Connections Through 100 Families

Acts of Hope participates in 100 Families, a network of community organizations housed at Arkansas Northeastern College. The network brings local nonprofits together so residents can be connected with programs suited to different needs.

Depending on program requirements and availability, referrals may be available for:

  • Assistance with baby items
  • GED completion
  • Obtaining a driver’s license
  • Education and employment goals
  • Other practical needs

Each participating organization determines its own services, qualifications, and availability.

Bringing the Family Back to the Dinner Table

A shared meal can create room for conversations that are difficult to begin anywhere else. Bringing the Family Back to the Dinner Table is a six-session family-strengthening and youth-development program created by Acts of Hope PRC.

The program is designed for parents or guardians and young people experiencing communication difficulties, parent-child conflict, school discipline concerns, or behavioral challenges. It is especially suited to families involved in the Family in Need of Services, commonly called FINS, process.

The six sessions include:

  • Two community dinners where participants share a meal and join guided conversations about communication, trust, and relationships.
  • Four in-home sessions using discussion prompts and practical exercises to identify communication barriers, encourage respect and accountability, and practice solving problems together.
  • A plan for moving forward that helps participants continue healthier conversations after the program ends.

Director Nicole Eskin developed the program after more than 12 years of volunteering and mentoring in local schools. It gives parents and young people structured time, practical tools, and a connection to the community around them.

For participants referred through FINS or the juvenile court system, Acts of Hope PRC can document attendance and provide verification of completion when requested.
