She Thinks She Might Be Pregnant. What Now?
Maybe she just sent you a picture of a home test. Maybe her period is late, and neither of you knows what that means yet. Before trying to solve everything at once, start by finding out whether she is pregnant.
Acts of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center offers free, confidential pregnancy testing at our Blytheville center. If the result is positive, a mentor can discuss abortion, adoption, and parenting and explain what resources or referrals may be available.
You may have questions of your own. What do you say to her? How much will your opinion matter? What happens to school, work, or the plans you made together? You do not need a polished answer before beginning the conversation.
How You Respond Matters
You cannot experience the pregnancy for her, but you can influence how she experiences this moment. Listen before jumping to a solution. Ask what she is thinking instead of assuming you already know. Tell her honestly what is on your mind without pressuring her to make a quick decision.
Showing up does not mean having everything figured out. It can begin with staying in the conversation, learning about the pregnancy, and taking responsibility for the choices that belong to you.
Fatherhood God’s Way
Acts of Hope’s Fatherhood God’s Way program gives dads a place to connect with other fathers, share real experiences, and grow in faith, family, and fatherhood. The goal is to equip men to become involved, confident fathers who build strong relationships with their children.
Program conversations include:
- Faith and fatherhood: Leading with love, purpose, and spiritual direction
- Emotions and mental health: Recognizing what you are carrying and caring for your well-being
- Practical parenting: Developing skills that strengthen your connection with your child
- Healthy relationships and co-parenting: Communicating, working through conflict, and collaborating as parents
- Leaving a legacy: Building a future marked by love, strength, and wisdom
This is not about pretending fatherhood comes naturally. It is a place to learn, talk with other dads, and become more intentional about the kind of father you want to be.
